Service for six
Pick up six pumpkins, four to six inches in diameter each.

Pumpkin Bowls

  1. First, wash six pumpkins well.
  2. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  3. Then cut the tops off and deseed pumpkins.
  4. Wait! Don’t trash those seeds. Wash them and set aside to dry.
  5. Place the lids back on the pumpkins and dry the outside.
  6. Place them in a shallow baking pan with about an inch of water in the bottom.
  7. Bake pumpkins for about 10 minutes.
  8. Take out and set aside.

Pumpkin Seed Garnish

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray or melt butter over it.
  3. Spread the dry seeds in a thin layer on the cookie sheet.
  4. Sprinkle with salt (about a teaspoon).
  5. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, shaking every four minutes to ensure even bake.
  6. Set aside.
