Service for six
Pick up six pumpkins, four to six inches in diameter each.
Pumpkin Bowls
- First, wash six pumpkins well.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Then cut the tops off and deseed pumpkins.
- Wait! Don’t trash those seeds. Wash them and set aside to
dry.
- Place the lids back on the pumpkins and dry the outside.
- Place them in a shallow baking pan with about an inch of
water in the bottom.
- Bake pumpkins for about 10 minutes.
- Take out and set aside.
Pumpkin Seed Garnish
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray or melt butter over it.
- Spread the dry seeds in a thin layer on the cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with salt (about a teaspoon).
- Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, shaking every four minutes to ensure
even bake.
- Set aside.
