Keeping it Real on Halloween
Kid’s Party or Kitsch Party?
by Tamar Love
Intro | Invites | Activities | Feel It | Contests | Easy Eats | Punch

Activities
Don’t structure your activities during the party lest you be labeled a “Monica.” Instead, set up a few stations around the house, where guests can play at being kids on their own time.

Bobbing for Apples
Liquor stores that sell party kegs also rent large buckets that can be filled with ice to keep the keg cool, buckets that are an excellent size for apple-bobbing.

What You’ll Need:

Large bucket of water
Two dozen apples, assorted colors and sizes
Rolls of paper towels

Fill the bucket with water and place it on a sturdy table. Float a dozen apples in the water, replenishing your watery orchard as guests successfully claim their fruit.

Considerate hosts will provide paper towels so that guests can dry off between bobs.
