Wasteth Not
By Robyn Heller
Intro | Trash It | Shampoo | Brushing Bubbles | Bag It

Bag it
You know those small garbage bags that cost more than regular-sized garbage bags in stores? They fit so nicely in your smaller garbage cans. Something else that fits nicely in those cans: a plastic shopping bag from your supermarket. They’re the same size and they’re free with your purchase of just about anything that requires a bag. If you’re more worried about aesthetics than saving money, be sure to at least recycle your bag somehow. Many grocery stores have bins for recycled bags. Some also offer a few cents off your bill per bag if you reuse them for your next purchases. Now you’ve got three alternatives to just throwing your old bags away… and a fourth if your area picks up recycled plastic bags, which they likely might. The planet smiles at you.
