The Rage | Ingredients | Sizzle

Chop Chop
  1. Set up the portable range on your table with a 1/2 gallon pot.
  2. Throw in a couple slices of Kombu and some cold water. Slowly bring the water to a boil, removing the Kombu just before the boiling point.
  3. When you're bubbling it's time for dipping. Grab your chopsticks and gently swish your choice of ingredients around in the pot until cooked to your liking and Chow down.
  4. Make a dipping sauce with 2 parts soy sauce to 1 part lemon juice and, if you need some nibbles between nibbles, try boiling some Edamame…not too long, though. You don't want it mushy. 5 minutes at a rolling boil, tops.
Bright Ideas:
What's Edamame? Why, boiled soybean pods, of course! Check your frozen food aisle.

No matter what, don't forget the sake. For information on buying a good one, check out The Sake Website..

Come on! Get your friends together and Shabu Shabu like it's 1999!
