Iron Cheese
Mom's grilled cheese…without the grill.

What you'll need:
    Clothes iron and board (optional)
2 sheets of wax paper—this is optional, but strongly recommended.
2 slices of bread—your choice, I prefer sourdough.
    1 slice of Kraft Cheese
Pam cooking spray or butter spray

    Extras:
1 slice of ham or a few of corn beef and sauerkraut for Ruben Sandwich—it’s muy bueno

  1. First, turn your iron to medium and set aside.
  2. Next, spray one side of each sheet of wax paper with Pam cooking spray.
Put your bread, cheese and optional meat together (a smear of butter or mayo can be added if desired)
  3. Place 1 sheet of paper on your ironing board or countertop spray side up.
    Top it with the sandwich.
  4. Place the other sheet of wax paper, spray side down, atop the sandwich.
Hold the iron until the cheese starts to melt, and the bread browns. Flip and do the same with the other side.
Finally, eat it while it’s hot.
