Hosting a Tea Party on the Cheap
By Kristine Hansen
Intro | Tea | Snack And Chat

Snack and chat
Get finger foods like tiny muffins baked in a special muffin tray, crackers and sliced cheese or cream cheese, pita bread triangles and a tub of hummus, and vegetable trays.

Remember, it’s the chit-chat that defines a successful social event and not the square footage of the host’s apartment (read: a cramped studio can be charming and cute). Don’t go overboard scrubbing floors, walls, and toilets in your pad. Just focus on creating a clean spot to set a teakettle, place settings, and trays of goodies. Don’t forget to provide a spot for the girls to hang their coats and set their shoes, too.

Just have fun with your gal pals. Take time to get to know each other better, and celebrate friendship over a cup of hot tea.
