GET SET
What you'll need:
  • Tweezers -
Tweezerman Tweezers rock. A little pricey, but worth it. Try the "slant" style.
  • An excellent magnifying mirror.
  • Really great light.
  • Patience.
Optional Aids
  • Numbing gel (Ambesol).
  • Light colored foundation and lip brush or white eye pencil
  • Depilatory wax or sugar.
  • Make up remover.
  • Small, straight edged scissors.
    Nail scissors are curved--Beware!

The Outer Limits
To get the right dimension for the arch, hold a pencil along the side of your nose. The lead tip of the pencil should stay put while you move the eraser in a semi-circular motion. The top of the pencil in the upright position is the inner measurement of your brow, the pencil held at the outer edge of your iris is the peak of your arch, and the top of the pencil moved towards the edge of your eye should be the outer limit of your eyebrow.

Your natural brow has its perfect shape hiding inside, but use your magazine clipping a guide. Experiment with the shape before you start pulling. Blank out the hair to be removed with crème foundation or white eye pencil. When it looks perfect, leave the make up there as your guide. (This trick comes courtesy of Kevin Aucoin, make up artist to the stars).
