Does It Really Matter?
You bet. Don't under estimate the impact that a beautifully complete ensemble has on the viewer. Often, the finishing touches are the things others notice first while inappropriate accessories assault the eye of the beholder. A matching bag and shoes supply the finishing touch, while indifference leaves one feeling incomplete.
So Many Options, So Little Stamina
Don't anticipate the hunt for the perfect tote with dread, this one's a gimme. Remember the basics:
Keep it simple - if you're only getting one, it has to be versatile.
Go for basic black, silver or gold.
Be creative - look for alternate use containers. A vanity bag, travel jewelry case, or a pretty coin purse. A friend of mine covered an old movie camera in rhinestones to use as an evening bag.
Don't forget vintage - My sister got a fully beaded, satin lined bag made in Paris, in perfect condition…for five bucks.
Make sure it'll hold the essentials - keys, lipstick, blotting papers or compact, money, ID, hankie, sample fragrance and that tampon! Or any combination thereof.
Gift with purchase
Coordinating your accessories to your outfit may take a little extra time and effort, but the pay off will be well worth the effort. And you'll stand taller knowing that your perfect match is an artful thing of beauty.

anything around the house for a purse. I found this tin
shopping cart type of basket at TJ Maxx for 4 dollars! I also bought a
Candyland lunch pail and use that for my backpack sometimes at school! My sister and I tore up an old pair of jeans and made that into a purse. I
also have this purse that's made out of license plates! It's cool!"
