The Tie That Binds
Only if it's not tied right. A half Windsor knot is always a class act. Ask your Pop to guide you through the turns.

It used to be that wearing more than two patterns at a time (suit, shirt, tie) was a big no-no. But today's trend is going to extremes. It's either no pattern or all pattern, all the time. So, I don't see many ways to mess up when choosing a tie. Trust your instincts, but remember - quality counts.

To really dry clean a tie properly, it should be taken apart, cleaned, steamed and re-assembled. Not something your average cleaner is likely to do. An expert suggests: for smaller stains, try rubbing a nickel on the stain. Then E-mail me to tell me how it worked!
