How many pairs of blue jeans do you own? How many of them fit? How many of them do you actually wear? Why not cut 'em up and make 'em into a terrific skirt. Long or short, plain or fancy.

What you'll need:
A couple of pairs of broken down jeans
    Scissors
    Sewing machine
    Pins
    Thread
In the beginning…
  1. Wash and dry both pair of pants first.
  2. On pair "A" (you decide which is which) make an incision all the way along the inside seam, through the crotch, from hem to hem.
  3. Turn inside out and lay on a table.
When suddenly an evil dragon…
  1. Cut the legs off pair "B" high up near the crotch for maximum yardage.
  2. Bell bottoms work best, but use what ya got.

bonus: A new pair of "Daisy Dukes" to wear over a pair of palazzo pants!

  3. Cut each leg up one seam.
  4. Flatten out a leg and fit it into the front space between the legs of pair "A".
And they all lived happily ever after.
  1. Pin into place and trim away any excess.
  2. Repeat on the back side.
  3. Turn right side out and sew those panels along the length of the seams.
  4. Cut it short or leave it long, hem it up or fray the edges.
