In a well-ventilated area (this stuff is real stinky), pour a little bit of resin in your mixing cup. Make sure to wear your rubber gloves.
If you want to add color or glitter, do it now, before you add the hardener. Start with a little. It's always easier to add than take away.
Stir in the hardener as directed on the can. Don't go overboard or you'll end up with a gelatinous mess!
Pour a thin layer of mixed resin (about 1/4 inch) into an ice cube tray or candy mold, and let it dry for a half hour. If your pouring skills are limited, or the mold is super small, try using an eyedropper.
Place the object you want to embed, then mix up some new resin and pour it on top. Be sure to cover the entire object plus 1/4 inch. If your object moves during the pour, fix the placement with your stir stick while the resin is still wet.
Let it dry to a Jello consistency, then stick your eyehook smack dab in the center. Let it sit over night. If the eyehook sinks, dig it out, let it set up a little longer, and try again.
Pop out the charm and sand down the edges if necessary.
Open the split ring with your needle nosed pliers. From the back, poke both ends of the ring through the puppy collar exactly where you want your charm to sit.
Slide the newly bejeweled eyehook over one end of the ring then clamp it shut with the pliers.
