Inspired by the colorful personalities of Mexico's Lucha Libre masked wrestlers, this simple iron on belt is fit for El Rey Misterio!
What you'll need
Fabric Belt
Printer
Iron-on Transfers
Iron
Ironing Board
Scissors
Find images you want to use on your belt. Lucha Libre masks, Andy Warhol images, cartoon characters, flowers, words, and size them with an image editor to fit on your belt. Photoshop or MS Paint work great.
Print the images on iron-on transfer paper. Don't forget to reverse the image for printing in your printer properties if you're ironing on words! Otherwise you'll have to stare in the mirror to read yourself. Hmmm. Maybe not so bad…
Cut out the images and place them on your belt. Then just follow the directions on the iron-on package to apply your pictures.
If you're having trouble getting the iron-ons to transfer fully, try laying a damp cloth on top of the paper and iron that. The steam created by the heat will help release the ink!
Don't have a fabric belt? Try the thrift store. I bought two for $2!
