Read To Me
Librarians need to step out sometimes. Did you see Parker Posey's librarian in Party Girl? Live out your bibliophile dreams as the librarian who is anything but bookish.

As far as details, thigh-highs are lots of fun and add to the flavor without going over the top. Many discount stores carry them, so you don’t have to go to a nice department store or pay more than $3 a pair.

Additionally, everyone loves cats-eye glasses, thank you Lisa Loeb, so can grab a pair at any drugstore for less than $10. They’re so cute, you’ll wear them over and over again just for the compliments.

Got the idea? Let’s go down the list of ingredients for this sassy little ensemble.

What you'll need:

Slim mid-calf length skirt with high slit up side.
    Elastic thigh highs
    Crisp white shirt
    Cute pumps or slides
    Cats-eye or horn-rim glasses
    One or two old books

How to do it:

  1. If your skirt doesn't have a slit up the side, cut your own using a yardstick for precision. Try on the skirt first and mark with pencil how far you want to go.
  2. oodwill is a good resource if you don't want to cut a slit up the skirts you presently own.
  3. Iron your shirt!
  4. Put on the outfit, making sure your thigh highs can be glimpsed through the slit.
  5. Straighten your glasses, grab your old books, and practice your smart-and-sexy smile.
Bright Ideas: Hang a cord with keys and a fake security card around your neck (paste a small digital pic of you on the white side of an index card, or use an old school ID), spazz out your hair, and carry a legal pad. Grab a headset—borrow one from work (with permission of course!) or grab one from a toy store--and look out, you are one frazzled temp!

Borrow your mom's old blazer or buy one at a thrift shop and make sure those shoulder pads are huge. Over-do your blush, add a bad perm you're an ‘80s power executive.
