Knit Wit
By Noelle Valdivia
Intro | History | Cast On | Knit | Bind Off

Binding off
Binding off is how you will finish your knitting. It refers to tying off the last row of stitches so that your garment will not unravel.
  1. Knit two stitches as usual onto your right needle. Then insert your left needle down through the bottom stitch on your right needle. Hold onto the top stitch while you pull the bottom stitch over the top stitch and off of the right needle.
  1. Do not put this stitch onto your left needle. Instead, let it off both needles.

  1. Knit the next stitch as usual, from the left onto the right. You now have two stitches on your right needle.

  2. Repeat steps one and two until your left needle is bare and there is only one stitch remaining on your right needle.

  3. Cut your yarn from the ball, leaving about a five inch tail. Pull on your right needle to make the remaining stitch expand. Then, insert the end of the yarn through the open hole, like tying a knot. Remove the needle and pull on the tail until the final stitch closes
