National Yarn Spinning Competition Commences
Now that several high-level officials have testified the Bush administration knowingly went to war based on assumptions and inadequate information, the Dubyas are back-pedaling, claiming that the real reason the US overthrew Saddam was to liberate Iraq from an evil tyrant. If GW had argued this point from the beginning, he might have more street cred, but now he looks like a fool stuttering excuses.

And, unfortunately the security of our nation, not just our schoolyard reputation, is at stake.

Alien Nation
Immediately following 9/11 the entire world was on our side. We had the chance to rally major support in the fight against terror. But GW blew it with his “with us or against us” campaign, which only succeeded in alienating the US and making us look like a nation of renegade “you’re not the boss of me” adolescents.

And now that it appears there really aren’t any WMDs, that the US acted on hunches and intuition, we can expect even more estrangement. When the boy who cried wolf finally met up with an actual wolf, nobody came to help him.
