Isn't it amazing there are
so many designated "special days" throughout the calendar year?
Valentine's Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, New Year's Day, Ground Hog
Day, Flag Day, National Lobster Day, Kewpie Doll Designer Day, and others
I've never heard of before.
In October we celebrate National Boss Day. And "celebrating" translates
into that dreaded ritual of gift giving. If everyone in your office buys
the boss a gift, you feel pressured to do the same. There's nothing worse
than being the only one not honoring your leader with a trinket of appreciation.
And let's face it; bosses remember who shelled out for the good stuff,
especially during pay raise time.
