World AIDS Day
By Johnny Ortez
Intro | Not Fashion | Campaign 2004 | What To Do | How Far We've Come

What can you do?
The World AIDS Campaign encourages people to break the silence and ensure that we, as a world, are working to provide effective HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and care. Only by confronting the stigma and discrimination which those with HIV/AIDS commonly experience can the fight against AIDS be won.

You can make a difference. You can stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. You can fight discrimination and you can help make the people in power take notice and contribute to research for a cure via letter-writing campaigns. You can make a donation to your local HIV/AIDS organizations. You can volunteer at your local AIDS Outreach Center. You can host an event of your own design to help raise money, donate food or clothing, and educate friends, family, and colleagues. You can put up a display at work, school, public library, or shopping center raising awareness and creating discussion.

If you take action and talk about HIV/AIDS, you are helping to end discrimination, fear, and ignorance.
