Super-comedian
Greg Vaccarello could be a character in his own “comic”
book. After lending a hand as a substitute teacher to special-ed
kids during the day, he then heads out into the night to fulfill
the other duty life intended: comedy.
Fifteen years ago, Greg, a Hauppauge, Long Island native,
met Gary Valentine in one of his acting classes. Valentine,
who currently stars opposite his brother Kevin James on “King
of Queens,” and a few other fellow thespians invited
Greg to the East Side Comedy Club on Long Island. With one
visit to the club, Greg
Vaccarello knew he wanted to become a stand-up comedian.
Since then, he literally almost made someone die laughing.
While performing at a comedy club in Milwaukee with 10 minutes
left in the show, he heard someone yell, “Oh my gosh,
Steve, don’t die!” Greg glanced over and saw a
man face down in his plate. Not sure of what to do, Greg looked
for the manager who cued him to keep going while the paramedics
brought in a stretcher. Turns out, luckily, the guy just had
a case of heartburn.
