One thing I both love and hate about diners is that 9 times out of 10, you’ll be able to order any type of food you can think of. Sure, you can get exactly what you’re craving, but if you aren’t positive what it is that you want, you have nine hundred choices in front of you and everything’s making you drool.

Shopping for a digital camera is very similar. It seems that each time a new camera comes out, it has a set of new and improved features, and anyone with an interest in photography will want the best for their bucks. Going digital is not cheap! With so many choices of cameras, each with its own set of features, it can be extremely confusing. The last thing you want to do is shell out tons of hard-earned cash on a camera with features you don’t know how to use… or worse, on a camera that cannot do what you want it to do.

The key to getting what you want without wasting money on features you DON’T want is understanding exactly what it is you’re looking at when you start narrowing down your choices.
