Make Some Bank
With the economy as it is none of us have too much money. Follow some of these Faux Shui cures and you might just find a few extra coins in your pocket, not to mention your bank account -- bling bling.
The Way to the Bank is Through Your Kitchen
The Chinese believe wealth is generated in the kitchen so keep your kitchen clean and well organized. Just warn your parents before they come over or the shock may kill them.
Use your stove every day - it helps stir up the Ch'i in your kitchen. Just think of all the money you'll save by not eating out every meal.
Fill a red envelope with rice and leave it in your kitchen. Rice is a symbol of prosperity and red is for luck. It also works as your "in case of emergency" meal.
Put a live plant in your kitchen. Plants symbolize growth. If you're a cook, plant an herb garden in your kitchen. For an added bonus, tape 3 coins to the bottom of the plant to encourage financial growth.
Lucky star
Display a gold star in your work area. It's a good reminder to do your best, besides everyone will think the boss has singled you out as the star you are.
Holes in your pockets?
If money is burning a hole in your pocket, place a large stone near your back door to block the Ch'i from leaving your house.
Burn baby, burn
Burn some incense in a bamboo holder to stimulate prosperity. The Chinese believe incense will carry requests to the heavens and bamboo is considered lucky. You also might want to say a little prayer for added measure.
8 is a magic number
Display the number 8 in your house; the Chinese consider it very lucky. If there's a number 8 in your address you're already there.
Clean closets and a healthy bank account
Get rid of stuff you no longer need. It reduces clutter thereby freeing up space for Ch'i to move about freely. Sell it and make some bank in the process.
Remember, prosperity cures work best when you have a job.
