Winterize Your Skin

Stiff Upper Lips
To make sure your lips are kissable and irresistible this winter, read my lips: moisturize your smackers! Naturally and instinctively, we lick our lips as our quick-fix chap stick but cold temperatures suck up that moisture, causing lips to feel uncomfortable and chapped. When choosing a lip moisturizer, avoid ones that list menthol or acidic compounds as one of the main ingredients. Instead, choose petroleum jelly (trust me…petroleum jelly will be your all-purpose, new best friend!), which will leave your lips feeling lusciously smooth.

Wash. Rinse. Condition
As you loofah and exfoliate your troubles away, your skin sheds dead cells, exposing a new glistening layer. For best results, apply body lotion while your skin is still wet. As your skin dries, the new layer acts like a sponge and readily absorbs the moisturizer, resulting in a healthy, silky-smooth texture. Cocoa butter lotion is a fantastic solution for reviving dry skin and is said to help diminish the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

Handle With Care
When you wash your hands, you are getting rid of germs as well as some natural oils in the skin. And, it doesn’t help that some soap, as well as some hand sanitizers, have harsh chemicals (mainly some type of acid) that can dry and irritate skin. Put hand lotion on hands after you wash them. They will feel pampered and energized!

If your hands are already cracked and dry, have I got a mani-cure for you! Before going to bed, generously apply petroleum jelly to hands and cover them with the garden gloves. You’ll wake up to soft, manageable skin.
