As human beings, we all need to be in touch
with our creative side. As children, we were allotted a block of time
during the day to create. We molded clay, wrote poems, painted on easels
and made masterpieces out of Popsicle sticks, doilies and construction
paper. Our efforts were never criticized, only encouraged. As we got
older, external and internal censors kept some of us from pursuing the
artistic endeavors that brought us so much joy as children and we learned
to shut down our creative impulses.
In order to invoke a time where we were free to create without the fear
of criticism, I’ve found that immersing yourself in the following
childhood activities can help you reunite with your artistic soul. They
will also work for creative professionals who need to jumpstart their
imagination. |
